Our Story

Like many modern love stories, ours began on a dating app — though it definitely required a bit of persistence (and patience). She liked his photo first, but he made her wait three whole weeks before finally matching. When we did start chatting, he reeled her in with tales of his holiday baking talents — particularly a legendary crepe cake that, to this day, remains more myth than memory.

Normally, his first dates were casual coffee meetups — low-key and low-pressure. But something about her felt different. So he switched things up and took her to one of her favorite restaurants, Uchi. Over sushi and a shared love of hot sauces, we clicked instantly.

From the very beginning, the bar was set high — and it’s only gotten better and better since.

The next few months were filled with great food, late-night laughs, and the kind of effortless connection that just felt right. What followed were two years of long distance and countless adventures — from Mexico City and New York to Greece, London and Italy — proving that love travels well, especially when it’s meant to be.

Eventually, he got down on one knee... and despite the quirks he signed up for, he's lucky she patiently waited those three weeks. Our love story may have started with a delay, but its been more than worth the wait — every mile, every laugh, every moment.

FAQ

What should I wear?

We'd love for you to join us in traditional Indian clothing if you're able, but no pressure! What matters most is celebrating together, so please dress in a way that feels festive and formal.

Below are some guidelines for each event:

Garba/Sangeet:

Think colorful, fun, and festive when deciding what to wear for the Garba. Something that you will be comfortable dancing in!

Traditional Indian attire for women include lehengas, sarees, and salwar suits.

Kurtas (with or without jackets) are perfect for men to wear to this event.

Wedding Ceremony:

Weather-permitting, this will be an outdoor event.

We ask guests to dress in Indian or western attire that is modest and respectful, while still celebratory!

Indian attire includes lehengas, sarees, and salwar suits for women.

Indian attire includes Kurtas (with or without jackets), sherwani and Jodhpuri suits for men.

Reception:

For women, traditional Indian attire like a lehenga, saree, or anarkali dress is recommended.

However, if you prefer a modern look, a formal gown, dress or fusion outfit is great too.

For men, a well-fitted suit or sherwani/Jodhpuri works perfectly for this event.
